Questions? We have the answers!
How much does it cost?
Pricing is personalised to you & it depends on what it is that you need. But as a rough guide its around £24-28 per hour. Vague we know, however we don't just want to provide you one number and paint you with the same brush as everyone else.. that's the difference between us and other group trainings.
What makes your coaching different?
The Sessions are proven & Science-backed programming as Sophia the owner is a Sport Scientist and Ex-Gymnast. It is structured, progressive personal training delivered in a small group setting. Every session follows a 12-week training block with clear performance focus, progressive overload and individual load adjustments, so you are not doing random workouts, you are following a plan. You are coached on technique, held accountable, and your progress is tracked. Numbers are capped so you are seen, corrected and supported. We focus on building real strength, improving body composition and creating long-term results, not just making you sweat. You are not paying for access to a class, you are investing in expert coaching and measurable progress
How long are the Sessions?
They are an hour long so you don't feel rushed, can warm up properly and the coach taking your sessions can provide actual coaching tips rather than what we call "lip service" (i.e "good Sally", "nice work john")
How do we track Progress?
We do not rely on body scanners, printouts or automated reports. At Soph-Fit, progress is tracked face-to-face in scheduled 1–1 check-ins with your assigned coach. We review: Strength progression and performance data, Nutrition habits, Daily movement and step count, Recovery and sleep, Stress levels and lifestyle pressures, Barriers you are currently facing. Because training alone is not a complete health strategy. Many gyms use technology as a substitute for coaching. A scan gives you numbers. It does not give you context, support or accountability or a solution. We believe progress requires conversation. You are not a data point in a system. You are a person with a life outside the gym, and that life influences your results. Our check-ins are designed to adjust your plan, address struggles early and ensure your training aligns with your reality. Soph-Fit is a personal training service delivered in a small group environment. The small numbers are not a marketing tactic. They exist so we can coach properly, track properly and support you properly. If you want structured guidance and accountability, that is where we differ because we will help you with solution so you can progress!
Do you do an Unlimited Package?
No. Unlimited memberships sound like excellent value for money. And they are… if you realistically plan to train 5 to 7 times per week, every week, alongside work, family, social commitments and actual recovery. For most adults, that is not sustainable. When attendance drops, the “great value” quickly turns into frustration. You start calculating the cost per session. You tell yourself you should be going more. Guilt creeps in. Consistency disappears. We do not build our model around wishful attendance. At Soph-Fit, the maximum you can train with us is 4 sessions per week.Evidence consistently shows that 2 to 4 structured resistance sessions per week is more than enough to build strength, improve body composition and support long-term health. Three sessions per week is where most of our members sit. It is also what our coaches follow.Progress does not require daily punishment. It requires intelligent programming and consistency.Unlimited sounds impressive. Realistic and sustainable works.
What is Small Group PT?
Our PT Sessions combines the individual attention of personal training without the cost. Groups are capped at 6 members per session and are led by an professional from our coaching team.
What’s in the Six-Week Trial?
The 6 Week Trial is a structured introduction to how we coach at Soph-Fit. It is not a quick fix or a discounted taster. It is designed for people who want long-term success and are ready to approach their health as a lifestyle change, not a short burst of motivation. From day one, you are assigned a coach who is responsible for your progress, your check-ins and your accountability. You are not passed around or left to figure things out alone. During your 6 weeks, you'll receive: X amount of Small Group Personal Training sessions per week, access to our fitness or Yoga classes, Structured programming within our 12-week training blocks, Weights tracking and measurable strength progression, A dedicated assigned coach, Scheduled 1–1 check-ins, Nutrition guidance and habit support, Accountability beyond the gym floor, Access to our supportive community. Your sessions are coached, not supervised. Your weights are tracked. Your technique is corrected. Your progress is reviewed face-to-face.We look at more than just your training. If you are looking for a reset, a crash plan or a temporary push, this will not be the right fit. If you are ready to build strength, confidence and habits that last, this is where we start.
What if I can't make it to a session or have a busy week?
Don't worry, we have plenty of time slots through out the week for you to reschedule. You do not need to provide 24hrs notice like you would with regular PT&thats the beauty.. so if you are a busy person, this is a perfect way to keep you consistent with your fitness. We also let you roll over your session to the next week if life hasn't gone to plan and life gets a bit mess/ busy. So don't worry, you wont just "lose it"
Is Soph-Fit suitable for complete beginners?
Yes, in fact most of our members did not come from a strong gym background. You do not need to be fit to start. You need to be coachable and willing to learn. Every movement is taught properly, progressed appropriately and adjusted to your current strength level. One thing we always say to newbies, is that when you
Will an existing injury be an issue?
We regularly work with members who have previous injuries, ongoing aches or limitations. Sessions are adapted to your current capacity, with exercise selection, load and volume adjusted appropriately. If you are currently under the care of a GP, physiotherapist or rehabilitation specialist, we are happy to work alongside their guidance to ensure your training supports your recovery rather than conflicts with it.We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Our role is to deliver intelligent, progressive strength training within your tolerance and in line with professional advice where applicable. Many members find that structured strength training, when programmed correctly, improves resilience and long-term confidence in movement.
